Look Out Australia: The Core Four is Here

It's 6:20 am and I feel like a kid on Christmas morning who is anxiously waiting for their parents to wake up to begin the day's festivities. The all too familiar sound of an airplane flying over my house was my alarm clock this morning, stirring me from a light and almost non-existent sleep. I mean, who can sleep when your three best friends are flying across the world to see you. It's been 4 months since I've had any contact with my previous existence in the United States other than pictures on a computer or broken voices on the phone. I love my new life in Sydney, but the thought of combining these two very distinct parts of my life makes it, well.... hard to sleep.
Amber, Kailey, and Lindsay were supposed to arrive yesterday at this same time, but got stuck in San Francisco for a slight detour due to delays in Chicago (surprise!) that made them miss their connector. I would feel bad for them, except that they were hooked up with a free hotel and meal vouchers from United, and got to spend a full day sight seeing in the Bay area. That's way better than any hospitality I could give.
So according to the United website, their plane is on the ground. Th next hour should prove to be an interesting one as we attempt to find each other amongst the Monday morning rush-hour in Central Station...and they have no phone. Good thing I like adventures! More to report soon....
